Fifteen years ago when I was incarcerated for murder, I left behind a five-year-old son. 
The thought of the child I left behind kept me sane behind those prison bars. Now that I am free, I have every intention of finding my son and building a life with him. The way his mother would have wanted. 
But 15 years is a long time for a man to be gone. A lot of changes can happen in all that time. Changes that I might learn about just a little bit too late.
